A collection of essays by Alma Cruz-Miclat, mother of the late artist Maningning Miclat. Most of the texts have been previously published in the Arts & Books section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. This anthology begins with a meditation on Maningning's untimely death and their family history, followed by profiles of artists whose life and work she admires, including Nestor Vinluan, Julie Lluch, Ofelia Gelvezon-Tequi, Elmer Borlongan, among others.
