Filipino-Spanish caricaturist Luis León Lasa was born in the Philippines in 1890 and lived in Spain for most of his life. His caricatures provide a window into Spanish society and portray Spanish life in the 1940s.
The Ateneo Art Gallery presents works by Lasa donated by his daughter and other distinguished collectors, and shows a mosaic of characters and celebrities he caricatured including actors, singers, artists, bullfighters, athletes, and world figures.
