A catalog of the exhibition Images by Edwin Coscolluela at Galleria Duemila in 2015. Coscolluela takes his practice in the domain of kinetic abstraction, offering digitally rendered, process-reliant, and design-oriented compositions. Here, dazed combinations of halftones, lines, motion, and continual change present a minimal outlook in non-objective image making. Motion is a recurring theme; he presents this through fading geometric forms and lines that quiver. All this generates an urgent exchange with the spectator. Although emptied of familiar representations, the compositions are laden with the desire to provide an immediate experience.
