After winning the 2011 Ateneo Art Awards, Bembol dela Cruz participated in two art residencies abroad - in Liverpool and in New York. While wandering the unfamiliar streets, he picked up stuff he found like sticks, pens, and other bits and bobs, which he then fashioned into homemade weapons.

The works in this exhibition, meant to be taken as one installation, include paintings of the homemade weapons, portraits of fellow artists projected on to the wall as negative photographs, and black panels on an adjacent wall. The catalog includes an essay by Yael A. Buencamino.
