Written after 9/11 (September 11, 2001), this poetry collection is a discomforting slow dance where "love," the only antidote, has become unrecognizable in a world hurtling towards self-destruction.

Nearly two decades after its first printing (2007), this Philippine edition published by Ateneo de Manila University Press is expanded to include additional poems.

Eric Gamalinda, poet, novelist, playwright, and filmmaker, was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, where he worked as an investigative journalist before immigrating to the United States in 1993. He is an adjunct professor at the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race at Columbia University.
