Part history, part fantasy, Philippine-based English novelist Patrick Everard’s Snakes in the Grass is a story during Marcos dictatorship through the narration of a young orphan named Saduj who became a close confidante of the president, making him privy to the inner dealings of both Ferdinand and Imelda. In a frightening twist of fate, he unwittingly gets caught up in the surreal and sinister Marcos dictatorship.
