Federico Aguilar Alcuaz (1932 – 2011) is an award-winning painter who has exhibited extensively in the Philippines and abroad. While he is known for his abstract paintings inspired by Cubism and Surrealism, Alcuaz is also noted for his portraits, landscapes, tapestries, and paintings on ceramics.

This definitive monograph by Rod Paras-Perez accompanies the artist’s retrospective entitled ‘Passionate Eyes’ at the Ayala Museum in 2005. It includes excerpts from the artist’s personal journals and a chronology prepared by Felicidad V. Tan-Co.
