As part of a series of exhibition catalogs produced by Silverlens Galleries, 'Beautiful Pain' marks Luis Lorenzana’s solo exhibition at Silverlens, Singapore in 2012. Lorenzana has gained recognition through his own brand of pop and surrealist works. In Beautiful Pain, he resorts to making portraitures of female characters, elegantly distorted and intricately framed, which present the enigma of beauty, which can both be haunting and joyous, damaged yet desirable.
