Haegue Yang: The Cone of Concern
This book documents the namesake exhibition held from 15 October 2020 to 31 March 2021 at the Museum of Contemporary Art & Design (MCAD) Manila.
One of the most widely shown artists of her generation in the world today, Haegue Yang is known for producing a form of conceptual language and an aesthetic vocabulary that is uniquely interwoven. The Cone of Concern is her first solo exhibition in the Philippines.
The title of the exhibition, The Cone of Concern, refers to a graphic tool for weather forecasting which specifically traces the path of an oncoming storm or tropical depression. This system built to predict the path of a typhoon presents how the human will attempts to confront the nature of natural phenomena.
