The book is organized into sections – Abregana (appetizers), Ensalada (salads), Sabaw (soups), Mga Adobo, Sud-an (mains), Mga Kakanin, and Panyam-is (desserts) – featuring ingredients from the “Ark of Taste,” a catalog of endangered heritage food.
As Negrense chef April Lacson-Justiniani notes in the foreword, the book is “a celebration of the art of cooking and the joy it brings to our lives,” offering a collection of recipes that both preserve culinary heritage and inspire future generations.
