This publication accompanies Sa kabila ng tabing lamang sa panahong ito / Waiting just behind the curtain of this age, the official representation of the Philippines at the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Art Biennale 2024). Running from April 20 to November 24, 2024 at the Philippine Pavilion in the Artiglierie of the Arsenale, this exhibition presents the work of artist Mark Salvatus, curated by Carlos Quijon, Jr.

The catalog features essays by Victorino Mapa Manalo, Enrique A. Manalo, Loren Legarda, Carlos Quijon Jr., Ryan V. Palad, Vitaliano Gorospe S.J., meLê yamomo, Anjeline de Dios, and Christian Jil Benitez. It also includes a conversation between Mark Salvatus and Pristine de Leon and an abridged conversation between Teresita de la Cruz and the Philippine Arts in Venice Biennale (PAVB), translated by Phillip Kimpo.

At the end of the publication is an explanation of the exhibition’s visual design by curator Carlos Quijon, Jr. and designer Alexandra Paredes. An A3 poster is also folded and tucked in the inside back cover.
