Philippine Forests 2026 Calendar

Regular price ₱1,500.00

This 2026 calendar by PlantVision celebrates the twelve forest types in the Philippines, presenting forests as dynamic systems shaped by climate, geology, time, and human activity.

Through images and short texts, it introduces the ecological “grammar” that determines how different forms of life take root and thrive across the archipelago.

Forests are complex mosaics of life that bleed into one another; they create climate as much as they are shaped by it, they bargain with their faunal residents, with geology, with time.

To name a forest type is to learn its grammar—the set of conditions that make certain species compositions possible and others improbable. Once you learn that grammar, you begin to see the archipelago as a repeating conversation between elements. Given this much rain, this kind of rock, this height above the sea, this history of fire and storms and axes, what forms of life are possible? Which trees will win, and what will they have to become in order to do so?

Proceeds from the calendar support ongoing research and conservation efforts focused on Philippine forests.
