Lani Maestro: Quiet Rooms
The accompanying publication of Lani Maestro's solo exhibition, Quiet Rooms, at Galerie de l'UQAM in Montreal in 2001. The exhibition featured two installations, Cradle and Tulala. Maestro (b. 1957) is an internationally-acclaimed Filipino artist who is known for her conceptual works in various media, including installation, sound, video, books, and writing. A recipient of the 1978 Thirteen Artist Award from the Cultural Center of the Philippines, she left the Philippines in the early 1980s and is currently based in Canada and France.
