This is a collection of 12 Filipino songs for elementary schools published by the Philippine Society for Music Education in the 1980s in response to a need “to produce a model for correct singing and serve as teaching aid for elementary school music teachers” as articulated by the Bureau of Elementary Education that time. 

It features music sheets composed by Julian Felipe, Francisco Santiago, Rodolfo de Leon, Felipe de Leon, Lucrecia R. Kasilag, Lucio D. San Pedro, Ernani Cuenco, Ramon Pagayon Santos, Cayetano Rodriguez, and George Canseco. 

It also lists the members of NAMCYA, the Philippine Society for Music Education, as well as the Production Staff, and the Philippine Normal College Children’s Chorale behind the accompanying recording.

This product does not include the cassette tape accompanying the original publication.
