At Home and Abroad
An accompanying catalog of the exhibition At Home and Abroad, featuring works by twenty Filipino contemporary artists at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, USA in 1998. Curated by Dana Friis-Hansen, the exhibition explores the geographical, cultural, and historical influences that shape identity and art in the Philippines.
The participating artists include Pacita Abad, Nunelucio Alvarado, Santiago Bose, Gaston Damag, Alfredo Esquillo, Brenda Fajardo, Mark Justiniani, Lani Maestro, Manuel Ocampo, Alwin Reamillo, and Sanggawa, among others.
The catalog includes essays by Dana Fries-Hansen, Corazon Alvina, Alice Guillermo, Koan Jeff Baysa, and Patrick Flores.
