Curated by Patrick Flores for Vargas Museum, Patricia Perez Eustaquio’s 'The Future that Was' weaves together her artistic vision in art and fashion. This accompanying catalog documents for us the full scope of the show—her creation of mannequins out of metal frames, cast resin, shaped fabric, and painted canvases jagged with irregular contours. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines, Patty Eustaquio studied World Cultures in Trieste, Italy, and since then has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Thirteen Artists Award and Ateneo Art Awards in 2009.
