Intramuros: The Story of Old Manila

"To write the history of Intramuros is to write the history of the Philippines. With all its challenges, difficulties, and ambiguous eras of colonial subjugation, revolutionary emancipation, foreign intrusions, indigenous agency, trade, commerce, and culture, the Walled City stands as a testament to the complex past of the nation."
Carlos Madrid Alvarez-Piner
