Guillermo Tolentino
A monograph of Guillermo E. Tolentino (1890-1976), National Artist for Sculpture. Tolentino graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Fine Arts in 1915 before traveling to the US and Europe for further studies. He returned to the Philippines in 1925 and together with his close friend Fernando Amorsolo, became the proponents of a revival of classical art in the country.
This monograph includes an introduction by Rod Paras-Perez, writings by Tolentino and other artists, and a handlist of works exhibited at Galerie Bleue on the artist's 82nd birthday in 1972.
