Published on the occasion of Claude Tayag's solo exhibition of his watercolor paintings at the National Museum of Fine Arts in 2019, A Watercolor Journey features more than 100 of his works from 1974 to the present. Over the decades he has explored the medium and developed various subjects, from landscapes, genre scenes, fiestas, religious icons, portraits, and calligraphic black and white paintings. Includes a foreword by Floy Quintos and essays by Alice Guillermo, Esperanza Bunag Gatbonton, Rod Paras-Perez, and Alejandro Roces. This special edition has a unique watercolor painting on the cover by the artist.
Claude Tayag (b. 1956) is an accomplished painter known for his acrylic and watercolor landscapes and scenes of religious and folk imagery. He is also noted for his work as a furniture designer, restaurateur, and food writer for The Philippine Star.
