Beneath Philippine Seas
Beneath Philippine Seas presents over 150 of Robert Yin’s most striking photographs of the country’s rich underwater life. A member of the San Diego Underwater Photographic Society, Yin has spent more than three decades diving and photographing in Philippine waters, capturing the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine species that flourish beneath the surface.
In his introduction, Yin recalls the early years of diving in the Philippines, when destructive fishing practices threatened the reefs, and reflects on the gradual awareness that led to efforts toward marine preservation. Dedicated to those committed to the protection of coral reefs, Beneath Philippine Seas serves as both an artistic record and a historical testament to the country’s underwater heritage.
