Chiva, also the Ibaloy term for storytelling, is a collection of essays that explores the long history and cultures of the Ibaloy. Although the Ibaloy are genealogically one people, there are also variations of experiences in the different villages, particularly those caught in urbanized landscapes, but all in modernity. Written by a combination of professional researchers and non-academics, the essays present both internal and external perspectives on past and contemporary Ibaloy life and culture.
