Onib Olmedo: Dimensions of Depth
Considered as one of the country’s finest expressionists, Onib Olmedo (b.1937-1996) painted portraits that probed deep into the human spirit and examined the human condition without idealization. The CCP presents a retrospective of his art, beginning in his early works from the 1960s until his untimely death in 1996.
Olmedo also painted still life, landscapes, interiors, nudes, jazz musicians, ballet dancers, and horse races - presented in this catalog with an essay by curator and art critic Alice G. Guillermo.
