A monograph on the life and work of Fernando Zobel (1924-1984), published on the occasion of his retrospective curated by Rafael Perez-Madero at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in 2003. It surveys 30 years of Zobel's abstraction, from the New York School-inspired works, the Saetas done in Manila, to the Spanish cityscapes and landscapes, the Dialogos with the paintings of the past and music, and the Serie Blanca. It includes texts by Perez-Madero, Peter Soriano, Juan Manuel Bonet, Antonio Bonet Correa, and Marcos-Ricardo Barnatan. It also includes an extensive chronology, lists of exhibitions and works in public collections, and a bibliography.
