Treasures of the Davao Museum
Established in 1977, the Davao Museum is an ethnographic museum focused on aspects of both Lumad and Muslim indigenous cultures in Mindanao. This book is an introduction to the Museum's Kalinangan Collection which includes outstanding examples of traditional arts and crafts of the indigenous communities of Mindanao. It organizes representative artifacts around three tableaux: the world of traditional Davao weaving; an indigenous thanksgiving ritual; and a dance of healing and resistance.
