The Katipunan and the Revolution, the memoirs of Santiago V. Alvarez, a general of the Philippine Revolution (1896-1902), is a milestone in the historiography of modern Southeast Asia. First published in the 1920s, in Sampaguita, a Tagalog weekly, the memoirs are reproduced in this volume, together with the English translation by Paula Carolina Malay.
