Register: Special Diamond Jubilee Issue
A commemorative magazine celebrating the 75th anniversary of The Manila Hotel, the city's first luxury hotel which opened in 1912. Located along Manila Bay, the 149-room hotel was designed by American architect William Parsons in the style of the California Missions, with all-white concrete and steep-pitched green roofs, a wrought iron porte cochere, and interiors which made use of local materials such as Philippine mahogany, narra, and marble. This magazine narrates the history of the hotel, with articles by writers Beth Day Romulo, Felice Sta. Maria, Ambeth Ocampo, among others.
