The book is divided into four sections, beginning with the history of film, followed by discussions of film as commodity, art, and social commentary. It includes reviews of some of the most acclaimed Filipino films, particularly those made during Martial Law, such as 'Sakada' by Behn Cervantes, 'Batch '81' by Mike de Leon, and 'Scorpio Nights' by Peque Gallaga.
