Raul Isidro: Abstract Landscapes
Published in conjunction with the survey exhibition of Raul Isidro's works at the Ayala Museum in 2013, this monograph gathers selected paintings from a period of nearly 50 years. A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Isidro (b. 1943) was introduced to modernism and abstract art through Victorio Edades. Beginning in the late 1960s, he developed a body of work influenced by Abstract Expressionism and has become known for his emotive abstract landscapes that recall childhood vistas and other places significant to the artist.
