Honored as the first National Artist of the Philippines after his death in 1972, Amorsolo was a highly influential and prolific painter known for his classical portraits, idyllic landscapes and pastoral scenes. This catalog includes essays by Carmen Aquino Sarmiento and Ambeth Ocampo.
