The accompanying publication of Lani Maestro's solo exhibition, je suis toi, at the Saint-Nicolas church in Caen, France in 2006. Presented by Wharf, Centre d'art contemporain de Basse-Normandie, the exhibition comprised of an installation of benches made from reclaimed wood in the deconsecrated church. Maestro (b. 1957) is an internationally-acclaimed Filipino artist who is known for her conceptual works in various media, including installation, sound, video, books, and writing. A recipient of the 1978 Thirteen Artist Award from the Cultural Center of the Philippines, she left the Philippines in the early 1980s and is currently based in Canada and France.
