Illuminating: Rod.Paras-Perez

Regular price ₱150.00

In his corpus of works and intellectual endeavors, Rod.Paras-Perez consistently revisited notions related to light (and its absence) - its power to clarify, educate and enlighten. Best known for his pioneering woodcut prints, Rod. was also an art historian, teacher, and mentor. Through his works, he illuminated paths for future generations of artists, educators, and scholars.

The catalog includes artworks from the sixties and seventies; particularly, woodcut on paper, acrylic on canvas, charcoal on paper, collages mounted on light boxes, and unpublished poems. Curator Dr. Florina Capistrano-Baker sheds light on his life and art in an essay.
