Part of a series of exhibition catalogs produced by Silverlens, this features the works of Hanna Pettyjohn which were shown in her first solo show for the gallery in 2009. It recounts her experience as a Filipino-American embodying the suburban life in a Midwest town across the States. Through painting large-scale portraits and landscapes, she depicts her unsettling impressions of life in a strange land, illustrated by the dust-masked characters whom she has created.
