Filipinas: Photographs by Isa Lorenzo
Thirty Filipino women who have helped to create the cultural fabric of their times are included in this series of photographs by Isa Lorenzo. The black and white portraits are presented with no elaborate backdrops or costumes and show the women in their truest selves. The exhibit premiered at the Main Gallery of the Cultural Center of the Philippines on January 26, 2006, curated by Deanna Ongpin-Recto. Isa Lorenzo is a working commercial, editorial, and fine art photographer based in Manila. She is the creative director of the Silverlens Galleries, an art space dedicated to contemporary art in the Philippines.
