David Medalla: Works in the World
An extensive interview with David Medalla (b. 1942) in which he discusses his advent to the literary and art scenes of Paris and London in the 1960s. He recalls his meetings in Paris with Man Ray, Duchamp, Raymond Duncan and Gaston Bachelard. Arriving in London in 1963 he joined Paul Keeler to operate Signals Gallery, exhibiting both European and South American artists. Medalla also went on to form the Exploding Galaxy, a seedbed of performance in London. Also includes essays and poems by Medalla.
