Art of the Cross
Published in conjunction with the exhibition Art of the Cross: A Philippine Tradition, this catalog gathers notable examples of the art of the cross of the 17th to early 20th centuries from the collections of the Ayala Museum, the Intramuros Administration and other private collections. A universal symbol with a multiplicity of meanings, the cross has been used in various forms and media throughout Philippine history. This exhibition pays homage to the traditions of Philippine Christianity and religious artistic representations.
